{"id":6395,"date":"2023-02-02T14:34:56","date_gmt":"2023-02-02T13:34:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/apdp-mc-stage.jupiter.cdigital.fr\/?page_id=6395"},"modified":"2025-12-11T11:35:31","modified_gmt":"2025-12-11T10:35:31","slug":"legislation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/apdp.mc\/en\/apdp\/legislation\/","title":{"rendered":"Legislation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Until 28 November 2024, the protection of personal data was guaranteed in the Principality by <strong>Law no. 1.165 of December 23, 1993<\/strong> related to the Protection of Personal Information.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Over time, this legislation has evolved to take account of the fast-growing <strong>development<\/strong> of <strong>technologies<\/strong>, combined with the <strong>globalization of flows<\/strong>, as well as of the <strong>legal instruments<\/strong> adopted at European level, respectively by the <strong>Council of Europe<\/strong> and the <strong>European Union<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, following the signature of the <strong>Convention 108+<\/strong> of the Council of Europe and the adoption by the European Union in 2016 of the \u201c<strong>European data protection package<\/strong>\u201d, namely, the <strong>General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)<\/strong> and the &#8220;<strong>Law Enforcement Directive\u201d<\/strong>, it has become crucial for the Principality to modernize its <strong>data protection legal framework<\/strong>; this has now been done with the adoption of <strong>Law no. 1.565 of December 3, 2024<\/strong> on the Protection of Personal Data.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Until 28 November 2024, the protection of personal data was guaranteed in the Principality by Law no. 1.165 of December 23, 1993 related to the Protection of Personal Information.
