{"id":21715,"date":"2026-03-16T15:47:03","date_gmt":"2026-03-16T14:47:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/apdp.mc\/?page_id=21715"},"modified":"2026-03-16T16:05:10","modified_gmt":"2026-03-16T15:05:10","slug":"biometric-access-control-to-professional-premises","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/apdp.mc\/en\/apdp\/fact-sheets\/privacy-in-the-workplace\/biometric-access-control-to-professional-premises\/","title":{"rendered":"Biometric Access Control to Professional Premises"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Article 2 of Law No.\u00a01.565 of December 3, \u00a02024<\/strong> defines biometric data as \u00ab\u00a0<em>personal data resulting from specific technical processing relating to the physical, physiological or behavioural characteristics of a natural person, which allow or confirm the unique identification of that person, such as facial images or dactyloscopic data<\/em> \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Biometrics therefore encompasses:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>physical characteristics: iris, voice, fingerprints, hand vein network, hand outline, etc.;<\/li>\n<li>behavioural characteristics: gestures, gait, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These data are classified as <strong>sensitive data<\/strong> when processed for the <strong>purpose of uniquely identifying or authenticating<\/strong> a natural person.
